FARSI1 is a fully private, commercial venture that operates on advertising revenue.
FARSI1 has advertising like most other commercial television stations around the world. However, to enhance your viewing experience, we have limited the quantity and length of advertising and segment breaks. In addition, we follow international guidelines when selecting the advertising that is aired on FARSI1.
Advertising allows businesses to provide useful information to viewers about their products and services, helping these companies increase their sales, which in turn helps employment and the economy.
FARSI1 is not available in North America. It does however reach most parts of Europe including the UK.

FARSI1 is currently broadcasting on Eutelsat W3A only and we do not have any plans to have the channel on Hotbird in the immediate future.
FARSI1 is focused on providing an uninterrupted, quality viewing experience for its audiences. After careful research we found that Eutelsat W3A provides the most stable and robust platform.
It is also easy to install Eutelsat W3A on an existing or new dish.

We select programs which seek to entertain the entire family audience and cultural sensitivity is a major consideration in our selection process.
FARSI1 has a dedicated team of professionals who screen and edit any material which may be deemed inappropriate, offensive or sensitive to viewers.
In fact, FARSI1 is one of the few Farsi channels that recognise special events and culturally significant days for Farsi viewers in the region. This includes rememberence days for great Farsi poets and the festival of Norooz. It also respects religious days of mourning and other important religious events such as Ramadan.
